OREANDA-NEWS.  Since August 1 the plant has produced additional 65mln KWh, reported the press-centre of Leningrad NPP.

The chief engineer of the plant Oleg Chernikov says that since the beginning of this year Leningrad NPP has fulfilled 99.2% of the plan: “We have to generate just 126mln KWh to catch up with the schedule. This is our priority and by mid Sept we will do it.”

On Aug 13 2007 the 1st and 4th units of Leningrad NPP operated at a total capacity of 1970 MW.

Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been the branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (Rosenergoatom Concern).

The plant has four units with RBMK-1000 reactors with a total capacity of 4000 MW. In 2006 the plant produced 23,178bln KWh.

The plan for 2006 - 21,330bln KWh – was fulfilled on Dec 5 2006.

Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 15,582bln KWh with the plan for the year being 24,210bln KWh.
