APEC: August 2007 Influence Rating in FEC
OREANDA-NEWS. On August 06, 2007 the Agency of Political and Economical Communications has prepared the regular periodic rating of influence of the most powerful businessmen and top-managers in Fuel and Energy complex of Russia (FEC), reported the press-centre of Transneft.
Aleksey Miller (1), Vagit Alekperov (2); Simon Vainshtock (3), Sergey Bogdanchikov (4), Anatoliy Chubais (5), Vladimir Bogdanov (6), Aleksandr Medvedev (7), Aleksandr Ananenkov (8), Viktor Vekselberg (9), Leonid Fedun (10) are among leaders.
Agency’s comments with regard to Transneft Chief Executive says assignment of Sergey Narishkins as curator of the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline project has upped standing of the national pipeline carrier of crude oil and its CEO Simon Vainshtock (3). Approving of the Law “ On alterations to the Federal Law on “ Supplies of production for state federal needs” and Article 12 of the Federal Law “On arms” has contributed to the success of Transneft and “Gazprom” as well.
August rating was compiled under expert’s poll where participated more than 36 well known experts: economists, political scientist, investment and industry analysts and economics journalists. The assessment was made for 66 candidates presenting nuclear-power engineering, oil and gas industry, transportation of oil and oil products, coal-mining industry, power industry.
Answering questions “How do you assess political and lobbyist influence in the RF Government, RF President Administration, Federal Assembly of Russia and also professional influence in business community of the following top managers of fuel and energy complex of Russia using scale from 1 to 10”, each expert first of all assessed influence of each of candidates then the normal value of expert judgment (average mark) was determined. Final rating is consolidating assessment of 50 top managers.
