OREANDA-NEWS. August 7, 2007. GAZ Group, Russia's largest producer of commercial cars includes enterprises making passenger and light commercial cars, medium and heavy trucks, engines and engine systems, buses and construction and road machines.

In April 2006, GAZ Group and DaimlerChrysler signed an agreement on the purchase of production assets of a plant owned by Sterling Heights Automotive Plant (Michigan, USA) and a license for the production of Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Stratus. The production of these cars in Nizhniy Novgorod will begin in 2008.
