OREANDA-NEWS. August 6, 2007. ROSNO’s Marx Agency has held a seminar "Mortgage Insurance Prospects". The attendees discussed the need for mortgage instruments in various districts of the Saratov Region, as well as ROSNO’s role in improving the quality of services rendered to the clients applying for mortgage loans.

Among the seminar’s speakers were Dmitry Lebedev, head of ROSNO’s South-Volga Directorate; Vladimir Lobanov, first deputy head of ROSNO’s South-Volga Directorate; as well as directors of eight agencies from Balakovo, Balashov, Volsk, Ershov, Mokrous, Marx, Ozinki, and Engels. The seminar was also attended by the head of the Marx Municipal District Mr. Yury Moiseev, head of the Affordable Housing Policy Implementation and Mortgage Lending Division of the Housing Policy Department in the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Saratov Region Mr. Alexander Yaltansky, and head of the Marx Division, Saratov Regional Department, Federal Registration Agency Mr. Vladimir Shamin.

In their speeches, the participants noted that ROSNO has considerably expanded the range of mortgage-related services, thus demonstrating the opportunities arising from cooperation of an insurance company with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services. ROSNO’s Marx agency clients applying for loans can not only receive insurance-related advice, but can also consult on other issues and obtain paperwork assistance. Since most of the paperwork is assumed by the insurer’s employees, the clients do not need visiting Saratov — they just have to sign a loan agreement and obtain money in the regional centre.

Mortgage loans are becoming an increasingly attractive borrowing instrument. Founded in 2005, Marx agency is a leader among eight ROSNO agencies in promotion of mortgage lending, and it has been conducting mortgage-related operations for over a year already. In 2006, 78 mortgage loans were issued in Marx, and 35 of that number were insured in ROSNO. The town administration acknowledges the success achieved by the agency: in June 2007, the Marx Municipal District Meeting resolved to include Marx Agency of ROSNO’s South-Volga Directorate into the District Honours Board.
