Russian Post Will Render Universal Services in Kursk, Orel
OREANDA-NEWS. FSUE Russian Post won 3 open tenders to grant universal communication service on data transmission and Internet access in public access outlets in Kursk, Orel and Bryansk regions. All the tenders were won within the framework of the program on universal service held by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation.
As to the contract Russian Post will begin to render universal communication services in 6 months of the date of closing the contract. In a year the enterprise will provide universal service throughout in Kursk, Orel and Bryansk regions with 898 outlets.
Note:
The program of universal servicing stipulated by the Federal Law "Of communications" was implemented in 2005. It aims at rendering minimal range of necessary services for the population granted by the state throughout the country. The program foresees setting up public access outlets in settlements with population over 500 people. Public access outlets give extra opportunities to get correspondence education for people living in remote and difficult-to-access areas. They can also find job and use electronic reference and law systems and other ones as well.
