OREANDA-NEWS. On July 31, 2007 the ISO 9001:2000 certification audit of the quality management system of TVEL Corporation has been completed, reported the press-centre of TVEL.

All the leading enterprises of the Corporation (TVEL, Elemash, NCCP, CMP and TVEL-Invest) have received certificates confirming that their quality management systems meet ISO standards. The audit was carried out by TUV CERT (Germany).

Thus, the Corporation has completed its long-term project for standardizing the quality management systems of its enterprises. The corporate quality management system of TVEL is the first in the sector and one of the first in Russia. It will help the TVEL companies to ensure the high quality of their products.

TVEL regards quality management as part of its long-term strategy. To note, it was TVEL’s company, Elemash, who got the first ISO-9000 in the sector. TVEL’s consistent steps in quality management help the company to successfully compete with its western counterparts on the world market. High quality is really crucial as foreign consumers give top priority to ISO standards.
