OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2007. The rail and bar works of Novokuznetsk Metal Integrated Works rolled an experimental batch of R65VS rails characterized by enhanced straightness intended for high-speed passenger service (velocity up to 250 km/h).

The rails are made from chromium steel alloy, which makes them more resistant to wear. The new product was developed by NKMK specialists in collaboration with All-Russian Research Institute of Railway Transport.
