OREANDA-NEWS. By the end of H1 2007 Ukrsotsbank is holding the top line in the net assets growth rate (+38,5%) among the five Ukraine’s biggest banks, reported the press-centre of Ukrsotsbank.

“The capital growth rate of Ukraine’s biggest banks are still below the capital growth rate of the bank system as a whole - “+15,6%” against “+20%”, - as the Bank’s experts manifestate the fact. In their opinion, it rather proves more effective capital usage by the biggest Ukrainian banks and higher assets quality.

Activity of banks from the second and third division grew sharply in May - the share of banks from TOP-10 in net assets growth rate decreased from 52,5% in May 2007 to 52,1% in June. The net assets growth rate of the whole bank system approached the growth rate of banks from TOP-10 (+29,5% against +29,6%). In the structure of assets and liabilities leading growth rate was demonstrated by TOP-10 banks’ operations with private clients - loans for individuals increased by 34,6%, and funds on current accounts of individuals increased by 18,8%.
