OREANDA-NEWS. The objective of the festival is to strengthen and develop cooperation between the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy (Rosatom) and Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) in training highly qualified personnel for Nizhniy Novgorod manufacturing companies, reported the press-centre of NIIIS.

The 1st festival was conducted in 2003 on the initiative of Y.Sedakov Research Institute of Measuring Systems (NIIIS) and NSTU. This year the festival will be attended by representatives of NIIIS, I.Afrikantov OKB of Machine Building, Atomenergoproject (Nizhniy Novgorod), professors and students of NSTU as well as a delegation of Production Association “Start” (Zarechniy).

This year NSTU is marking its 90th birthday. It is one of the biggest partners of Nizhniy Novgorod manufacturing companies: the university trains highly qualified specialists for the companies who help them to develop their research activities. In Jan 2006 NSTU joined the “Russian Innovative Nuclear University” Consortium.

The festival will consist of business meetings and cultural and sports events: basketball, football, ping pong tournaments.
