Military Partnership of India and Sevmash Established
OREANDA-NEWS. On July 23, 2007 head of Indian observation group Sailindran Madusudanan has visited 1059 military agency of Russia Ministry of Defence and met with his Head captain Pavel Nychko, reported the press-centre of Sevmash.
Visit had familiarizing character and its purpose was to develop cooperation of Indian seamen and Russian military representatives, which are connected by joint monitoring and acceptance activity. Indian Naval Forces officers inspect “Vikramaditya” working progress, and their Russian colleagues perform acceptance of military products while building, testing as well as while repairing of all ships on Sevmash.
Our relations are regulated by intergovernmental agreement protocol, - explains Pavel Nychko, - that is why by request of Indian part we arrange reception of foreign delegation in our military agency.
Indian seamen visited 1059 RF military agency for the first time in February 2005, in a year after concluding contract for repair and reequipment of "Admiral Gorshkov" by request of India Republic. Head of the first observation group captain Sukhingder Singkh said that experience and knowledge of Russian military representatives give confidence in high quality of ship acceptance.
Sailindran Madusudanan mentioned that updated staff of observation group includes even more specializations and officers took part in ship equipment testing at Manufacturer. Therefore flag officer thinks that at present time when contract has been significantly advanced, monitoring authorities shall work more closely. According to Pavel Nychko, the most important stage is shore and trial testing of aircraft carrier.
During meeting parts exchanged souvenirs, and Indian people congratulated Russian officers with the following Naval Forces Fleet Day.
