Leningrad NPP Reduces Electricity Underproduction
OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2007. In July the plant fulfilled 106.9% of the production plan by generating additional 133mln KWh. In Jan-July 2007 the plant fulfilled 98.8% of the plan.
The volume of underproduction is being steadily reduced: as of July 30, it makes up 183mln KWh.
“Our task is to continue this process – even though in Aug we will have just two operating units,” the chief engineer of Leningrad NPP Oleg Chernikov said during a working conference.
This week the plant is stopping its 2nd unit for modernization. As of today, July 30 2007, the electric capacity of the 1st unit makes up 1006 MW, the 2nd unit is operating at 997MW.
On July 20 2007 the 3rd unit was stopped for modernization and overhaul.
The 4th unit is operating at a capacity of 507 MW.
Last week the plant operated safely and efficiently with no single incident recorded.
