OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2007. Petr Baskakov, General Director of OJSC TransContainer and Jong Ju Kim, Vice President of the Chinese company Jindo concluded a contract on purchasing new containers made at C&Jindo co. ltd plant.

This is the first OJSC TransContainer’s direct contract on container purchasing directly from a producer, reports press service of OJSC TransContainer.

In total, TransContainer will buy containers of two types - 40-foot high containers, 20-foot containers of larger capacity. Their total volume will exceed 5,000 TEU

All containers are made of the high-quality steel “Korten”. Petr Baskakov considers that they will help the company to extend the range of services and increase competitiveness of OJSC TransContainer on the world market. “It’s not a secret that the demand on cargo transportation in large containers constantly grows. That is the reason that we replenish our park with such containers”, noted General Director of OJSC TransContainer.
