OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2007. By order of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of RAO UES of Russia Nikolay Ivanovich Nosov is rewarded with the breastplate “Power Engineering Veteran” for his contribution to the development of the united energy system of Russia and his longstanding conscientious work.

For reference: Nikolay Ivanovich Nosov started working as a boiler operator at Sosnogorsk CHPP in September, 1960 after graduating from the Ivanovsk Energy Institute. He has been promoted from a boiler operator to the Director of the station. Under his supervision such works as steam pipes replacement at Sosnogorsk CHPP (8 steam generating unit, 6 turbosets, 4 joint collectors), reconstruction of chimneyNo. 3, 150 meters high, with the setting of the border on the upper part of the pipe, reconstruction of the cooling tower No.2 have been carried out.

Very important fire safety measures were taken at the station: installation of autonomous fire fighting system of the cable areas of Sosnogorsk CHPP by sprayed water, lead-in of the fire control system of the turbine oil-tanks and turbine room truss.

Nikolay Ivanovich Nosov always follows the advanced experience in the power industry, does his best to apply it at the station. He has a good notion of the equipment and machinery, required technical means of service and equipment. He can establish and maintain good business relations with the heads of the branches, enterprises and organizations on different levels, has wide business connections. He has been not once awarded for high production performance.
