OREANDA-NEWS. On July 18, 2007 the medical insurance company Gazprommedstrakh, part of the SOGAZ Insurance Group, has been declared winner in a public tender among medical insurance organizations for the right to provide obligatory medical insurance (OMI) cover to employees of the Social Development and Labor Ministry in the Astrakhan Region. Insurance policies have been provided to 174 people, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.

The Astrakhan Branch is one of the oldest branches of OJSC Gazprommedstrakh established in August 1998, and also one of the Company’s largest branches. OJSC Gazprommedstrakh has signed insurance contracts with over 10.3 thousand enterprises and organizations in the Astrakhan Region. The total number of the Astrakhan Region residents holding insurance policies issued by SOGAZ has exceeded 440 thousand people.
