On July 17, 2007 Tatneft Company has published "The Report on Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility for 2006" based on international standards of GRI (version G3) and AA1000 confirmed by the independent audit opinion of the "Bureau Veritas Certification Rus" Company, reported the press-centre of Tatneft.

Since 2004 preparation of the annual non-financial report reflecting the economic, environmental and social performance of the company followed the same generally accepted routine practice as financial accounting and reporting. Publication of this report is a way to inform the general public about specific actions the company on implementing the principles of the social responsibility, demonstrating the openness and seriousness in commitments towards the community.

"The Report on Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility for 2006" contains information on all significant developments happening in the company in the course of the fiscal year, and consistently reveals activities of the Company to achieve corporate goals, such as provision for the economic stability, implementation of innovation targeted policy, provision for the high levels of the corporate social responsibility.  The sections of this report reflect the technical and economic performance of the Company, the Company's activities in the field of environment, the issues of industrial safety, personnel's health and development as well as social programs and projects aimed at strengthening the social stability in the regions where the Company operates.

This report has been based on the international standards of GRI (version G3) and AA1000 and received an independent audit opinion confirmation by the "Bureau Veritas Certification Rus " Company, which is an indication that OAO TATNEFT aspires to provide the interested parties with complete, meaningful and consistent information. According to the audit opinion, the report is a balanced presentation of significant socio-economic, environmental and innovational activity aspects, identifying indicators of Tatneft Company sustainable development.

The report is accurate, objective and informative. Tatneft Company employs effective management systems allowing for identification of the essential social, economic, environmental and technical aspects of managing the relevant processes, as well as identifying the expectations of the interested parties with regard to these issues and responding to them.
