OREANDA-NEWS. In the first half of 2007 Azovstal Iron & Steel Works increased production capabilities of the basic types products: iron production was 2674,7 thou. tons, that is by 425,2 thou. tons more than in the  similar period of the last year, reported the press-centre of Azovstal Iron & Steel Works.

Steel production increased: according to the results of the 1st half-year of 2007 it was 3087,2 thou. tons, that is by 375,4 thou. tons more than in the 1 half-year of 2006. 

Works increased rolled products production: in the first half-year of the current year its volume was 2731,4 thou. tons, that exceeds by 305,5 thou. tons indexes of a similar period in 2006.

Coke output decrease by 0,1% is caused by Azovstal Iron & Steel Works coke and by-product production charge system optimization, and also by coke production volumes redistribution within Metinvest Group.
