In H1 EuroChem Enterprise in Novomoskovsk Increased Output by 6,0%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2007. In the first half of 2007 Novomoskovsk Joint Stock Company Azot produced 407,160 tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers (in 100% nutrient content), up 6.0% from the level of the corresponding period last year, reported the press-centre of EuroChem.
The output of ammonia – the main raw material for nitrogen fertilizers – was 784,560 tonnes (up 1,4% from the level of 2006).
The output of urea was 412,860 tonnes, up 2,6% year-on-year, while the output of ammonium nitrate was 622,780 tonnes (up 13%).
Compared to the level of 2006, the output of nitrogen-lime fertilizer – a new product of the enterprise – grew by 39,5% to 22,460 tonnes.
As for chlorine segment, a significant increase in the output of granulated calcium chloride was shown. The fertilizer is in great demand among the consumers. During the first six months of the year the output was 2,840 tonnes (up 27,4%).
The producers of argon and carbonic acid also got good results having produced 5,300 tonnes of argon (up 4%); and over 3,000 tonnes of carbonic acid, more than a five-fold increase compared to the previous year.
The output of methanol remained virtually the same. During the first six months of the year the enterprise produced 191,400 tonnes of methanol.
