Three famous companies Kodak, world leader in the photo services market, FSUE Russian Post, national postal operator and Rambler Internet Holding, one of the Russian Internet leaders join their efforts to present new comfortable service. The project on digital photo printing by Internet started 11 a.m.11th July 2007.

With new service customers can send photos for printing by mass electronic photo album in the country called Rambler Photo to Kodak service centers and get prints by post. The number of potential customers is great. Currently, the number of photo albums at "Rambler Photo" (www.foto.rambler.ru) is over 2.5 bln that amounts several dozens of billions photos.

Photos will be printed in Kodak regional network of service centers situated in the major part of Russian regions. Each unit works on single principle and meets Kodak world quality standards. Order made by Internet at Rambler site will be sent to the region where customer can get it. Due to this system orders will be delivered within the same time in all the regions. It will take from one to three days and it is one of unique advantages of the service. Customers can get their orders in post offices of Russian Post.

Customers pay cost of photos only when receive them. Post offers home delivery of photos as an extra service.

The order form and delivery of photos in such short time within the country is unique in the world practice.

The project is implemented owing to long-term partnership of Russian Post and Kodak within the framework of the program "Kodak Photo Services by Post" (Kodapost). Currently, the service becomes very popular, available and convenient. Presently the number of registered users is dozens of thousands people.

Rambler that joined the program gave Russian Post and Kodak access to Internet portal, its wide and quality audience. So customers get their photos operatively to a convenient post office. Each month post delivers approximately 1 bln orders. Due to close cooperation between the companies new service will become more available for all Russian people. It should be noted that prices are at the available level for most of the customers.

As to Kirill Yankovskiy, LLC Kodak Director General joint project of Russian Post, Rambler and Kodak opens new page in photo business first of all due to its availability and large scale. Its large scale is guaranteed as Rambler is one of the most popular Internet portal in the country and Russian Post has unique delivery network covering the whole country. Company’s own photo printing offices network opened in each region especially for cooperation with Russian Post will provide high quality and fast delivery speed (1-3 days within the regional center, 3-5 days within the region) from Kalinigrad to Kamchatka.

The service of photos printing and delivery by post became particularly attractive as Internet-holding Rambler joined us. Their participation enlarged our customer audience immensely, stated Igor Syrtsov, FSUE Russian Post Director General at the held press conference. Russian Post in its turn offers extra services on home delivery of photos, among them Region-courier and express-delivery EMS Russian Post.
