OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2007. GAZ Group intends to invest $150mln in the development of the joint engineering center (OITS).

It means the foundation of a single managing center permitting to consolidate the engineering resources, unify the processes and cut down the time for the product development.

The performance is based upon the development of the new products to provide the full cycle of the production.

At Silovye Agregates and Road Building Facilities the independent engineering centers are under creation. The divisions of OITS will be located on 8 sites of GAZ, Ural Automobile Plant and Buses.

The joint engineering center will involve 28 centers for the development of the new types of products.
