Frunzenskaya Substation Opened in JSC Belgorodenergo
OREANDA-NEWS. Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus” participated in the opening ceremony of the “Frunzenskaya” substation.
The grand opening ceremony of the new power grid unit 330 kV substation “Frunzenskaya” took place in Belgorod region on July 18, 2007. Evgeny Makarov, General Director of JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus”, Andrei Rappoport, Chairman of Board of Directors of JSC “UES FGC”, Misrikhan Misrikhanov, General Director of the JSC “UES FGC” - MPG of Center, Victor Filatov, Managing Director of JSC “Belgorodenergo”, Evgeni Savchenko, the Governor of Belgorod region, representatives from the local authorities participated in the solemn ceremony, dedicated to the substation opening.
The transformer capacity of the new substation is 195 MVA. The new unit can cover the load growth, increase the power supply reliability of Belgorod and the South-Western part of the Belgorod region, as well as, offload the 330 kV “Belgorod” substation, which is the single main substation for 20 110 kV substations in the Belgorod region.
The “Frunzenskaya” substatation is the power grid unit of a new generation. It is equipped with the advanced micro processing units of relay protection and automated control system of technological processes by French company REVA. Control, automating equipment are implemented with automated system of power metering (AMR). The project provides he possibility to operate the substation on-line from remote dispatcher room without an operating crew.
The 33011010 kV auto connected transformers by “Zaporozhtransformator” company which are equipped with the explosive and fire prevented system of SERGI type, as well as, with the monitoring system of working conditions, are installed on the substation.
At the moment, 20 110kV substations and 110 kV lines are powered from the 330 kV “Frunzenskaya” substation. The following consumers from eight South-Western districts of the region are powered from this substation: Yakovlevo mine, Borisovka bridge constructions plant, Rakitnoe reinforcing pant as well as housing development and agricultural sector units.
The project for construction of 330 kV “Frunzenskaya” substation was designed in 1990. The construction was stopped due to the lack of finances and was renewed only in 2004. The original design was corrected according to the new requirements.
The expansion of substation by installation of the other 33011010 kV auto connected transformers of 195 MVA capacity, what will allow to increase the substation capacity in two times by2008.
The financing of the power unit construction was done by means of the JSC “UES FGC” investment project. The total investments amounted to more than 2,2 mld rubles.
JSC “Belgorodenergo” by commissioning the 330 kV “Frunzenskaya” substation put into operation three 110 kV aerial lines:
- 110 kV “Belgorod-Frunzenskaya” line with tap on 110 kV ‘Streletskaya” substation and closed the traffic between “Frunzenskaya” and “Belgorod” substations.
- 110 kV “Frunzenskaya-Tomarovka” line allowed improving the power regime in south-western parts of Belgorod region.
- 110 kV “Severnaya-Frunzenskaya” line created a reserve source of capacityfor consumers connected to 110 kV “Belgorod” substation.
At the present time, JSC “Belgorodenergo” is constructing another 110 kV “Frunzenskaya-Zapadnaya” double-circuit line, which will increase the power supply reliability to City of Belgorod consumers, due to connection to two independent sources: 330 kV “Frunzenskaya” and 330 kV “Belgorod” substations.
11 110 kV VL will be connected to the substation by 2010.
