OREANDA-NEWS. On July 11, 2007 the SOGAZ Insurance Group central office hosted a workshop on the insurance of industrial risks, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.

The event was organized as a training session for SOGAZ specialists conducted by leading underwriters and risk managers from Swiss Reinsurance Co. (Swiss Re). It was the first time that Swiss Re had organized such an event for a Russian insurance company.

The key topics of the workshop were related to risk management in industrial facilities, underwriting of major industrial risks, new trends in property insurance and insurance against down-time in oil and gas production.

Dmitry Talayev, Underwriting and Reinsurance Director at the SOGAZ Insurance Group, welcomed the participants. In his speech he expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the Swiss reinsurance society and emphasized that “this workshop is a landmark event for SOGAZ. The Group management pays great attention to the professional development of the employees and to maintaining the performance standards in line with the principles internationally recognized in the insurance industry”.
