OREANDA-NEWS. According to OJSC Azovmash (Mariupol, Ukraine), one of the largest Ukrainian railway freight rolling-stock producer, the volume of the wagon-building production amounted to $350 mln (+32.6%, year-on-year) in H1 of 2007.

Railroad cars totalled to 89.4% of the plant production volume, more than 70% of cars were exported. The following states became company’s customers: Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Iran.

The most part of the produced rolling-stock was tank-wagons (63% of the fulfilled program) and gondola cars (23.5%). Besides, 441 covered wagons and 194 flat wagons were produced. On the whole, the volume of the rolling-stock produced grew by 18% (or 726 units) to 4,757 units. In particular, there was a significant increase in production of tank wagons (+70% year-on-year) and gondola cars (By 3.5 times).
