OREANDA-NEWS. The passenger traffic at Vnukovo International Airport surged 28,6 percent to 2,731m people in the first half of 2007 compared to the same period a year earlier.

Its international passenger traffic (bound for CIS and non-CIS countries) amounted to 1,046m passengers in the first six months of 2007, which is 33 percent more than in January-June 2006. Domestic passenger traffic climbed 26 percent to nearly 1,686m passengers.

Vnukovo passenger traffic climbed 25,8 percent to 682,900 people in June 2007 compared to the same month in 2006. The airport's international traffic (bound for CIS and non-CIS countries) stood at 238,900 passengers in June 2007, which is 15,4 percent greater than in June 2006. Meanwhile, the number of passengers transported on domestic flights went up 34,5 percent to 399,000 people.
