OREANDA-NEWS. On July 10, 2007 CTC Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTCM) announced that Vladimir Khanumyan, Chief Operating Officer, was honored with a prestigious national professional ‘Russian Media Manager 2007’ award in the ‘Television’ category on July 5, 2007, reported the press-centre of CTC Media.

Vladimir Khanumyan joined CTC Media in 1996 as Sales Director, CTC-Moscow, and was promoted to General Director in 1997.  Since 1998, he has served as General Director of the CTC Television Station Group. He was appointed CTC Media’s Chief Operating Officer in 2004.

This marks the third time CTC Media’s senior management has been honored at this annual professional award ceremony.  CTC Media’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Alexander Rodnyansky, was twice honored - in 2004 (Grand Prix) and in 2006 (special category ‘For Company Restructuring and IPO’).

The national award ‘Russian Media Manager’ was established in 2001 to promote significant events and developments in the media business associated with management professionalism and excellence. The best media managers are determined by an expert council and jury consisting of prior-year award winners and acknowledged media market experts and leaders.
