OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2007. By the results of the first half of the current year the container turnover of Odessa sea port increased by 32% and amounted to 230 924 TEU. In June 2007 there was handled 46 490 TEU via the port. This figure is a 45% plus over the last year same period result. Compared to the result of May 2007 it grew by 18%.
 
In January-June of the current year the port of Ilichevsk handled 216 534 TEU. It is 72.6% more that in January-June 2006. This volume includes 198 993 TEU handled by Ukrtranscontainer. The port did 17 541 TEU.
 
In the whole during the first half of the year Odessa and Ilichevsk handled 447 458 TEU. It is 49.1% more than in the same period of the last year.
