OREANDA-NEWS. On June 27, 2007 Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill (Ilim Pulp Corporation) has completed the second stage of Cost Price Management — a course within the Corporate University programme. The first module was held in Ust-Ilimsk at the end of April, the third one will take place in Bratsk late in August this year, reported the press-centre of Ilim Pulp.
The course was delivered to technicians, power engineers and economists from Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill, Ust-Ilimsk Pulp Mill, and Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill. Representatives of NALCO, Hercules, Forkommet, Elof Hansen and Metso Paper took part in the course as consultants. The seminars dealt with pulp bleaching and drying technology.
The main objective of the course, apart from the general educational purposes, was to provide specialists with skills necessary for the development of high quality target programs aimed at lowering cost price.
Corporate University, an integrated personnel training and development system, was launched in 2004. Its main goal is to establish a system that enables the corporation to select, train and professionally guide its most talented staff.
