OREANDA-NEWS. On June 22, 2007 Gazprom has been declared the winner of auctions for the license to explore and develop the Arakansky and Yudokonsky blocks in Krasnoyarsk Krai, reported the press-centre of Gazprom.

The auctions were organized by the Land Use Administration in the Krasnoyarsk Krai (Krasnoyarsknedra).

In the South the Arakansky block borders the Beryambinsky block with the same-named Beryambinsk gas condensate field detected within.

The Yudokonsky block is located 45 km to the North-West from the Sobinsky oil and gas condensate field.

The licenses for the right to use the subsurface resources of the Beryambinsky block, Beryambinsk gas condensate field and Sobinsk oil and gas condensate field pertain to Krasnoyarskgazdobycha (a 100 per cent subsidiary of Krasnoyarskgazprom).

The Yudokonsky block expected recoverable reserves account approximately for 153 bcm of gas and 164 mln t of oil, while the Arakansky block reserves are at 203 bln of gas and 64 mln t of oil.

Under the Draft Program on setting up an integrated gas production, transmission and supply system in Eastern Siberia and the Far East due to possible gas export to the markets of China and other Asia Pacific countries. A gas production center in the Krasnoyarsk Krai is planned to be developed based on the Sobinsk field.
