SOGAZ to Insure Yekaterinburg’s Church on Spilled Blood
OREANDA-NEWS. On June 26, 2007 the SOGAZ Insurance Group has been declared winner in a tender for the right to enter into a government contract for the provision of real estate insurance services: the company will insure the building of the Church on Spilled Blood in the Name of All Saints of the Russian Land, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.
The Church on Spilled Blood was built in Yekaterinburg on the site of the Ipatyev house pulled down in 1997 and in which the family of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II was kept in custody and was executed by a firing squad on the night of 17 July 1918. The temple is a composite cultural, historical, and religious complex. It is a large structure with five domes and a total area of some 3,000 square metres, 60 metres high. The church is visited by Orthodox pilgrims from all over the world.
The Yekaterinburg branch of the SOGAZ Group provides a wide range of insurance services and occupies leading positions in the regional insurance market. Offices of the branch are located in the City of Kurgan, the regions of Sverdlovsk and Kurgan and the towns of Rezh, Sysert, Novouralsk, Zarechny, Aramil and Nizhny Tagil. In 2006, the number of insurance contracts signed by the branch was in excess of 38,000 and its insurance premium surpassed 580 million roubles. Among the clients of the Yekaterinburg branch are the region’s major enterprises: Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works, Urals Electrochemical Plant, Uraltransgaz, and many others.
