OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2007.  Within the Le Bourget -2007 International air show the Supplement to the Type Certificate on AN-124-100M-150 modification issued by Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee (AR IAC) was handed. Giving it to D.S.Kiva, General Designer, V.V.Bespalov, Chairman of the AR IAC, said in particular: “This document confirms that AN-124 meets international requirements for 10 years ahead. It gives us confidence that Ruslan will have great future”. D.G.Babiichuk, Deputy Chairman of State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, handed to D.Kiva the renewed Type Certificate on AN-124-100, issued by State Aviation Administration of Ukraine.

D.S.Kiva, speaking at the ceremony told about essence of the Ruslan modernization, importance of installation of new equipment and providing the compliance of the aircraft with the modern and perspective requirements. Also Mr. Kiva told about tests process of the AN-124-100M-150. He said: “Collective of ANTONOV ASTC does everything required in order to provide our customers with the most modern airplanes capable to fly without limitations in all regions of the world and to have the high level of economy in operation”.

One of the customers of the upgraded Ruslans and the partner of ANTONOV ASTC in realization of the program on modernization and resumption of such-type aircraft serial production is Volga-Dnepr group of companies. A.I.Isaikin, Volga-Dnepr President, stated: “We have already ordered 12 new AN-124s. Market of cargo airlift needs this unique airplane”.
