OREANDA-NEWS. The existing Collective Agreement of Smolensk NPP expires on Sept 2 2007. In Mar 2007 the director of the plant A.Petrov set up a bilateral commission for summing up the results of its fulfillment in 2006 and for drafting collective agreement for 2007-2010.

The commission has discussed all the paragraphs of the agreement and has prepared a report on its fulfillment. The draft of the new collective agreement is based on the existing one with some changes aimed at improving the social-economic conditions of the personnel: particularly, the new agreement contains paragraphs “Benefits and Compensations for Unemployed Pensioners of SNPP” and “Work with the Youth.”

The new version of the collective agreement consists of 13 paragraphs and is based on the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the Law “On Professional Unions, Their Rights and Guarantees,” the Agreement on Nuclear Power Industry and Science for 2005-2007 and Rosenergoatom’s Corporate Agreement on Labor and Social Relations for 2005–2007.

In July the workshops and departments of the plant will discuss the new agreement. The whole personnel will meet on Aug 30 2007.
