OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2007. KAMAZ Inc. performed at the XI Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum successfully, reported the press-centre of KAMAZ.

The exposition of KAMAZ Inc. looked very presentable at the forum and attracted everybody’s attention. Among its attendees there were high guests: Vladimir Putin – President of Russia, Sergey Ivanov – First Vice-Premier, German Gref – Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mintimer Shaymiyev – President of Tatarstan.

European automobile manufacturers attended the stand of KAMAZ Inc. as well. What is more, Leif Ostling – President of SCANIA – became interested in the sport KAMAZ-4911 EXTREME so much that he took advantage of the opportunity to sit for a while on the pilot’s seat and examine the legendary automobile from within.

Sergey Kogoghin – Director General of KAMAZ Inc. – made a speech at the round table “Invented in Russia”.

The top-managers of the largest Russian and foreign companies of different economic sectors and kinds of business participated in the work of the round table (Sukhoi Company, Severstal-Avto, Rocket and Space Corporation Energia, the GAS group, JSC Russian Railways, Bombardier, Scania, etc.).

The matter was about the practical application of 25 best inventions of the mankind for the last 25 years (by version of CNN), the latest and expected developments of the first-rate companies in “breakthrough” areas of science and technology.

Many issues discussed at the forum and round table touched upon the actual problems of automobile industry. The experts of KAMAZ Inc. think that these are cordless and defense technologies, alternative fuel engines (e.g., hydrogen fuel engines), energy-saving technologies. In these spheres of scientific and technological advance KAMAZ Inc. offers ready developments and continues improving them.
