OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2007. OJSC Sibirgazservis (the Novosibirsk branch of the GAZEKS holding company, part of IES-Holding) has approved a schedule for minor and major repairs of gas distribution pipelines in Novosibirsk as part of a programme for ensuring the safety of gas supply to consumers. The amount of repairs and reconstruction work includes some 600 km of gas pipelines, 240 cabinet-type gas distribution points and over 1,000 valves. Sibirgazservis is to spend around 4 million roubles on the programme. The company also intends to spend 640,000 roubles to troubleshoot 7 km of gas pipelines running along Petukhova Street, Dzerzhinskogo Avenue and Krasny Avenue and other facilities having been operated for forty years.

The first gas pipeline running along Sovetskaya Street which had been operated for the standard period was diagnosed last summer. Based on the study results, the expert panel passed a resolution that it is fit for further operation during another fifteen years.
