OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2007. For utilization of resource conservation technologies by generation company, JSC "Tatenergo" was awarded Diploma of winner among companies of first group of annual Republican competition "ECOleader", held by Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan and Cabinet of Ministers of Republic.

Separate w-award in nomination "For Efficient Environmental Program" was awarded to Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP. Zainsk Condensation Plant received Diploma in nomination "Best Service of Environment Protection". JSC "Generation Company " actively implements the program of energy conservation of the holding for 2000-2005 and till 2010.

Realization of actions fro reduction of consumption of electricity and heat for own needs, optimization of regimes of operation and updating the generation facilities, utilization of gas-turbine and steam-turbine technologies as replacing capacities also allow to control the degree of impact by branches on environment.

Total savings of the fuel for time period of the program "Energy Conservation" 2000-2005 were 1.73 million t.r.f.or over 15% of annual fuel consumption for supply of electricity and heat to each consumer in Republic of Tatarstan . Specific consumption of fuel for electricity supply reduced by 24.4 g/kWh, and specific consumption of fuel for heat supply – by 2.6 kg/Gcal. Actual saving of fuel through improving the specific consumption within 5 years was 560 th.trf. JSC "Generation Company" is one of the biggest water users in Republic. Some 20% of annual water consumption falls on the power engineering industry, that’s why the focus of the company are the issues of rational use of water resources, utilizing the new technologies and conducting the policy of strict savings. Year after year in the branches increases the amount of the second and return water supply. Within five years the consumption of water for own needs reduced by 30%.

Since 1998 the gross polluting emissions into air reduced by over 2 times, over 90% of wastes are recycled or neutralized. If each former fourth ton of wastes given to outside organizations, was placed at the scrummage, now only twelfth.

These results were reached with stable supply of heat and growth of electricity generation. Basing on results of implementation of plans of nature conservation for 2005-2006, the amount of prevented environmental damage was over 44 million rubles. Prevented environmental damage from realization of actions included in the Environmental Program for 2007-2009 is expected in the amount of above 70.5 million rubles.
