OREANDA-NEWS. Specialists of OJSC Urals Gas Networks (a subsidiary of the Gazeks holding company, part of IES-Holding) completed the pressure testing of the gas pipeline and supplied natural gas to several blocks of flats and 40 private houses in Novopanshino (Prigorodny District, Nizhny Tagil). This is one of the few communities in the Sverdlovsk Region where gas supply for households has been established.

The pipeline supplying gas to Novopanshino was built about five years ago under the Gas Supply Establishment Programme of the government of the Sverdlovsk Region. Gas was used for the production needs of the collective farm and as a fuel for boiler houses. No gas was supplied to the residential area in the community. The Gazeks gas holding company began the construction of gas distribution pipelines in 2006. A four-kilometre pipeline was finished in December 2006. The cost of the project was 3,8 million roubles.

Gazeks specialists expect to establish gas supply to over 1,000 subscribers in the Sverdlovsk Region by the start of the 2007 heating season.
