OREANDA-NEWS. On June 14, 2007 signing of agreement between the Administration of Kursk region, JSC “FGC UES”, JSC “IDGC of the Center and North Caucasus” and JSC “Kurskenergo” on mutual cooperation in the course of implementing investment programs for 2007-2011 was held in Kursk, reported the press-centre of  JSC “IDGC of the center and North Caucasus”.

The parties agreed to join efforts in the construction and reconstruction of the electric grid units in order to increase the reliability of electric supply to the customers of Kursk region, reduce  capacity deficiency and provide a possibility for connecting new customers to the electric grids.

The priority measures program for the construction and reconstruction of the electric grid units of JSC “Kurskenergo” and the Unified National Energy System in Kursk region was approved. It is planned to invest about five billion rubles towards the implementation of the program. Aleksandr Mikhailov, the Governor, stressed, that the volume of investment for the development of the regional infrastructure will amount to 20 billion rubles by 2020. Thus, it is necessary to combine efforts with power industry workers in achieving both prospective and current objectives in order to meet the customers’ growing needs in power supply. 

“Our main objective is to provide the advance development of the electric grid complex to enhance the development of regional economies, said Evgeny Makarov, General Director of JSC “IDGC of the Center and North Caucasus”. – This was the reason for signing the Agreement of Mutual Cooperation between the Power Industry  and the Administration of Kursk region”.

The parties to the agreement shall also provide the opportunity for the integration of the electric grid complex of JSC “Kurskenergo” and the public power industry of Kursk region. The goal of integration is the establishment of a unified center, responsible for both power supply to consumers, reduction of specific expenses for maintaining the electric grids and creating conditions for power rates reduction.

In order to improve the overwhole customer service standards as well as simplify customer registration procedure and minimize the time of connecting new projects to power lines it was mutually agreed to establish a net of Customer Service Centres as a part of JSC “Kurskenergo” in 2007.

The 1st Customer Service Centre was opened in Kursk on June 14.  All the Parties specified by the Agreement were present at the Official opening.

Today we are making the first step in order to be closer to the people, to provide our customers with more convenient service, - underlined Managing Director of JSC “Kurskenergo”, Dmitriy Gurin. – The same centres are supposed to be established in Zheleznogorsk, Oboyan, Lgov and Schigry in the nearest future. The mutual Agreement between the Administration of Kursk region, JSC “FGC UES”, JSC “IDGC of the Center and North Caucasus” and JSC “Kurskenergo” is evident proof of the projects being implemented.
