OREANDA-NEWS. 5,112 contracts on technological connections were signed and 141,892.12 kW of capacity was connected to JSC “IDGC of the Center and North Caucasus” grids in 4 months of 2007 - from January to April.

Against the previous year’s results of the same period the number of signed contracts and the volume of connected capacity were more than doubled: 2,006 contracts were signed and 54,655.43 kW of capacity was connected from January to April 2006.

“A considerable increase in volume of connected capacity first of all resulted from the amendments to normative documents regarding the organization of technological connections to the electric grids as well as from new versions of the rules for non-discriminatory access to the energy transmission services, approved by the RF Government on March 21, 2007. - notes Vadim Fyodorov, Deputy Technical Director, Chief Executive of the Department for Liaising with Subjects of the Electric Power Market, - The introduction of the rules led to changes in defining the technical conditions for connections as well as enlarging the list of criteria for the technological connection. Thanks to bringing the procedure of planning the further development of the electric grid complex into order in the “Rules of Technological Connection of Power-Receiving Devices of Legal Entities and Natural Persons”, the number of reasons for refusal of technological connections of the customers was reduced.

One more important factor, helping the process of technological connection of customers, is the development of a system of complex services for the customers, according to which Customer Service Centers shall be established in the company’s operation area.  A customer shall be able to solve any problem in a CSC, first of all the problem of technological connections to the electric grids. Thus, for example, according to the results of customer’s expectations and monitoring of demand, carried out by the IDGC specialists, 37,19% of 20,629 customer applications, received in the 1st quarter of 2007, were applications on technological connection. It considerably exceeds the previous year’s results of the same period.
