OREANDA-NEWS. On June 05, 2007 the award ceremony, dedicated to the contest “The Best Bank of Kyrgyzstan - 2006” took place at press agency AKIpress. The event was organized by AKIpress magazine and Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, reported the press-centre of  AUB.

AsiaUniversalBank (AUB) won by two nominations: “Innovative banking product” and “Choice of the Internet”. For the first nomination all the participants were evaluated by the expert commission. The second nomination was awarded on the basis of voting results of 3000 visitors of AKIpress web-site.

The nomination “Innovative banking product” was initiated for the first time in this year. Its goal is to find the most outstanding innovation in the sphere of retail banking. According to the experts, from all the received applications for nomination, which included plastic cards, deposit and credit products, the most innovative product for the Kyrgyz market is Internet-banking, offered by AUB. Such service gives an opportunity to implement the banking operations independently.

In the framework of the contest on the web-portal of AKIpress there was an interactive survey. Visitors of the web-portal were asked to choose the best bank in Kyrgyzstan by the nomination “Choice of the Internet”. Commenting the win of AUB, organizers highlighted the serious work in improving of client services.

“The win by two nominations, “Innovative banking product” and “Choice of the Internet” is the evidence of successful path, chosen by AUB as our mission is to offer world-class banking services to our clients and be the modern bank for modern people”, marked Alexandra Kirianova, head of Public Relations department of AUB, during the award ceremony.

According to the chief executive of AKIpress, Alina Saginbaeva, “The activation of a banking business and the growing interest to it were observed during the whole contest. The project was aimed at the increase of trust to the banking sector and increase of authority of banking system of Kyrgyzstan in the eyes of business partners, potential clients and state bodies.”

The contest was organized in accordance with the results of financial activities in 2006. There were 20 commercial banks, which competed for 4 offered nominations.
