OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2007. In January-May of this year, National Company "KazMunayGas" noticeably increased volumes of oil production and transportation in comparison with the corresponding period of 2006.

The volume of oil and gas condensate produced by the group of companies in January-May 2007 made up 6 850 thousand tons, which is 1,9% above the corresponding index for the respective period of 2006. In 2007, oil and gas condensate production is envisioned in the volume17 272 thousand tons.

The volume of oil refining at LLP “Аtyrau Refinery” for January-May 2007 made up 1 428 thousand tons, which is 2,9% below the corresponding index for the respective period of 2006. Decrease in the volume of refining is linked to overstocking of tank battery of oil products at LLP “Аtyrau Refinery”.
In 2007, oil refining is envisioned in the volume of 3 700 thousand tons.

The volume of oil transportation by the system of oil-trunk pipelines of JSC “KazTransOil” for January-May 2007 made up 18 871 thousand tons, which is 8,9% above the corresponding index for the respective period of 2006. In 2007, oil transportation is envisioned in the volume of 43 325 thousand tons.

The volume of gas transportation by the gas mains of JSC “Intergas-Central Asia” for January-May 2007 made up 49,2 billion m3, which is 6,8 % below the corresponding index for the respective period of the last year. Decrease in the volume of gas transportation is caused by the decrease in the volumes of international transit the Turkmen and Russian gas, received from customers from the Russian party. For 2007, gas transportation is planned in the volume of 124,8 billion m3.

The Company’s consolidated incomes for January-May 2007 made up 402 billion tenge, which is 0,6% above the corresponding index for the respective period of 2006.

The company pursues an active investment policy. For January-May 2007, capital investments due to own means mage up 53 billion tenge, including 51,6 billion tenge in production.

On the whole, in January-May 2007, the subsidiary and dependent organizations of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" paid taxes and charges to the budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the total sum of 76,6 billion tenge, which is 27,8 % below the respective period of 2006. The decrease is caused by changes in the tax legislation that have taken effect since January 1st, 2007.
