OREANDA-NEWS. In Karaganda the Chairman of the Board of JSC "BankTuranAlem" Mr.Roman Solodchenko and the Governor of Karagandinskaya region Mr. Nurlan Nigmatullin signed Memorandum of cooperation.

It is symbolical that the signing ceremony was held within the frames of the first International investment Forum "Karaganda Invest 2007".

Among priority directions of cooperation the parties determined mutual long term projects on development of mining, metallurgical industries as well as innovative projects to produce competitive products.

Within the document bounds the parties plan to start the construction of Business-center in Karaganda in 2007. "Signing of the cooperation memorandum with Karagandinskaya Region’s Administration is a next step in realizing Bank TuranAlem’s policy directed to the extension of cooperation with regional authorities. Execution of this document will allow us to use the existing potential of our cooperation to the full extent. Our mission is to provide our customers with modern, qualitative and called-for banking products in all regions of our country. I am convinced that such cooperation will be fruitful and mutually beneficial", - said Mr. Roman Solodchenko at the signing ceremony.

The parties were satisfied with the achieved positive results and a considerable contribution to the region’s economy by Karagandinskiy, Dzhezkazganskiy, Temirtauskiy branches of Bank TuranAlem. One of JSC "Bank TuranAlem" priorities is to provide its corporate customers and their business with favorable conditions.

The bank provided financial support to some of the largest region’s projects on mutually beneficial conditions: financing of the enterprises of LLP "Mashzavod №1" (equipment renewal to produce mining equipment), GORKOMTRANS (refuse collectors fleet renewal), LLP "Remikser" (road service equipment renewal), LLP "Karagandinskiy pharmaceutical plant" (arglabin producing plant).

JSC "Bank TuranAlem" holds a leading position in the region on trade financing, SMB lending. Taking into consideration importance of SMB development for the economy, the bank determined this sector as one of the most priority-driven. Thus, in 2006, JSC "Bank TuranAlem" Karagandinskiy branch financed SMB subjects in the amount exceeding 18 bln. tenge, gave loans to individual customers in the amount exceeding 8 bln. tenge.

Bank TuranAlem’s main advantage is its wide network (currently there are 23 branches operating in Karagandinskaya region). The economy growth and subsequent growth of the population income led to the extension of card business which in turn allowed planning future returns and profits. Bank TuranAlem has a wide ATM network – 86 ATMs located in different parts of the region.

BTA customers’ amount in Karagandinskaya region as at May 1, 2007 comprised 144756, among them there are 4439 legal entities and 140326 natural persons.

BTA actively participates in the region’s everyday life by financing the construction of the park dedicated to the 60th Victory anniversary in World War II, reconstruction of water supply system in v.Kengir, assistance to "Ulytau" museum, regular sponsoring of the orphanages, boarding schools, sportsmen, dancing teams. During the period from 2005 to 2007 the Bank provided welfare in the amount of 9,7 mln. tenge.
