OREANDA-NEWS. On June 05, 2007 Ilim Pulp and International Paper received Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) approval for joint business activity in Russia, reported the press-centre of  Ilim Pulp.

The approval is an important step in a 50/50 joint venture deal being discussed by Ilim Pulp and International Paper. Currently, the prospective partners are continuing deal discussions with a view to conclude the JV by the second half of the year.
