Gazprom Delegation Takes Part in XI International Economic Forum in St
OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2007. A Gazprom delegation is taking part in the XI International Economic Forum held on June 8-10, 2007 in St. Petersburg. The delegation members include the Deputy Management Committee Chairmen Valery Golubev, Andrey Kruglov, Alexander Medvedev and Sergey Khomyakov, reported the press-centre of Gazprom.
On the first day of the Forum Alexander Medvedev held a working meeting with MOL Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman- Chief Executive Officer Zsolt Hernadi.
The parties addressed issues of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector. A focus was placed on the interaction within projects aimed at creating new transnational gas transmission capacities as well as on the intensification of the actions targeted at constructing a strategic underground gas storage site in Hungary.
Valery Golubev and Alexander Medvedev also held a working meeting with Petro-Canada President and Chief Executive Officer Ron Brenneman. The parties deliberated on the major areas of cooperation including the implementation prospects for a joint project covering Russian LNG production and supply to North America.
In addition, the Forum hosted the consultations with the companies involved in a new round of the talks concerning the first stage of the Shtokman gas and condensate field development. In particular, Alexander Medvedev met with ConocoPhillips Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Mulva, Statoil President and Chief Executive Officer Helge Lund, Total President Christophe de Margerie.
The meetings addressed matters of cooperation within the Shtokman field project.
