OREANDA-NEWS. Net profit of JSC "Aeroflot - Russian Airlines" in 2006 according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) made $258,1 mln. and exceeded the previous figure by 36%, i.e. $68,3 mln.

Revenues of JSC "Aeroflot" according to IFRS as compared with 2005 grew by 18,1% or by $ 456,4 mln. and made $2982,7 mln., operating expenses increased by 14,1%, i.e. $321,5 mln. and made $2605,7 mln.

According to Mikhail Poluboyarinov, Deputy General Director for Finances and Planning of JSC "Aeroflot", this result is reached at the expense of growth of number of carried passenger, efficient revenues management and reduction of corporate expenses.
