OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2007. Last week the 5th International Competition Best 2007 Internet Project' was held among metal making and trading companies of Russia and the CIS. The corporate site of DNEPROSPETSSTAL took second place, reported the press-centre of  DNEPROSPETSSTAL.

The organizer of the competition was the Journal METALLOSNABZHENIYE I SBYT' (metal supplies and sales) with support from the Russian Union of Metal Suppliers.

he participants of the competition included well-known metal making and trading companies working in the ferrous and non-ferrous metals markets of Russia and the CIS and having websites on the Internet. The authors of the Internet projects made presentations of their companies' capabilities in the area of production and marketing, gave information about their companies' corporate lives, business partners, social responsibilities, public organizations and charity work.

The main goal of the competition organizers was to find the best Internet solutions which would contribute to opening new communication channels for interaction with buyers and consumers of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The projects presented were reviewed in two stages by a panel of experts. At stage one the experts evaluated on a five-point scale the compliance of the websites' content and structure with the requirements of the competition. At stage two 10 projects with highest scores in each category were examined. The winners were selected from among them.

The panel of experts included renowned specialists in the field of advertising and Internet marketing as well as metal market pundits.

Prizes were awarded to OJSC TRUBNAYA METALLURGICHESKAYA KOMPANIYA' (Pipe and Metal Making Company) http://www.tmk-group.com - 1st place; OJSC DNEPROSPETSSTAL http://www.dss-ua.com - 2nd place and the Kamensk-Ural'sk Metal Works http://www.kumz.ru - 3rd place.

The award ceremony took place on 30th May as part of the conference Corporate Internet Portals and Blogs in Metal Making and Trading' held in Moscow. At the formal award ceremony representatives of DNEPROSPETSSTAL received a cup and certificate as the international competition prize winners.
