OREANDA-NEWS. June 8, 2007.  in Astana, in the building of the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University, the second stage of awarding the holders of the scholarship by "KazMunayGas" group of companies was held. The first special scholarships presentation ceremony was held in Almaty. The “Kazakhstan’s 100 Best Students" act is held as part of the “KazEnergy” association's educational program.

The award was held among the students of technical, humanitarian and economic specialities of the Kazakh-British Technical University, KIMEP, the KazNTU named after K.Satpayev, the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University, the Kazakh Economic University named after T.Ryskulov. The rectors of the mentioned HEIs filed applications for 166 candidates. After considering the applications of the recommended students and their transcripts, the most experienced employees of the “KazMunayGas” group of companies – advisors on personnel – held an interview with the applicants. Over seventy students, who received no less than 4 points in the course of the interview and showed a high level of special knowledge, organizational skills, activity, ability to self-development and teamwork, became holders of the scholarship. To distribute the remaining 29 vacant titles, an additional selection among the students of technical specialities who are to begin their 3rd year of study is planned to be held in August of this year.

Apart from the monthly scholarship up to the end of their study, which will amount to KZT15,000, the holders of the scholarship will be entitled to have practice and probation in the “KazMunayGas” group of companies with the possibility to be entered to the personnel reserve, and to participate in workshops and research work.

The “Kazakhstan’s 100 Best Students” act is one of the stages of the “Team Selection" program implemented by the “KazMunayGas” group of companies for creation of the professional reserve comprised of the best specialists and executives.
