OREANDA-NEWS. June 6, 2007. S7 Airbus A319s flew to Vladivostok for the first time. Previously, S7 had used Tu-154 aircraft for the route. Soon S7 will start using A319s on routes to Khabarovsk and other cities it serves in the Far East.

Most Russian airports served by S7 can handle the foreign-made aircraft in S7’s fleet. This is one of the stages in S7’s development path. Russian passengers from cities in the country’s Far East can now choose to fly with S7’s modern and comfortable aircraft and enjoy the pleasure of travelling with S7.

The A319 airliner is outstandingly economically efficient and considered the best in its class. The new aircraft will be flown by S7 pilots trained at flight training centres run by United Airlines in Denver and Airbus in Tunis. S7’s flight instructors have Airbus instruction certificates and considerable experience of flying with aircraft of this type.
