OREANDA-NEWS. On May 30, 2007 JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus” announced 2007 as the “Year of Health and Safety at Work” where the attention is paid to RGC staff training, skills improvement, including  safety drills and technological process organization, reported the press-centre of  JSC “IDGC of Center and North Caucasus”.

The final competitions of 0,4-10kW distribution grid service crews will be held at JSC “Tambovenergo” training ground on June 4-8. 8 teams representing Vologda, Volgograd, Belgorod, Rostov, Kaluga, Tambov, Tula and Nizhny Novgorod RGCs will match their skill in the contest.

The competition will be held in several stages. The officials will check the level of equipment and the technical condition of devices, materials and protective kit. The contestants shall replace a damaged line isolator pole with, transitory wooden pole of 10kW aerial lines and determine the decay degree on the anchor  concrete pole of the 10kW aerial lines, while making necessary adjustments, release an electric shock casualty and use the “Gosha” resuscitation shall demonstration training simulator.

JSC “Volgogradenergo” Kamyshi power grids personnel shall demonstrate their skills in handling live wire jobs. The winner shall be awarded a crew vehicle. The  runners-up shall be awarded diplomas and consolation prized.
