OREANDA-NEWS. "World competition community must work together to develop competition culture in the global economy" - stated Sheridan Scott, the Chair of the International Competition Network (ICN) at the opening ceremony of the 6th Annual ICN Conference in Moscow, reported the press-centre of  FAS Russia.

Sheridan Scott drew attention of the Conference participants to the fact that this year ICN unites over 100 countries with developed as well as young market economies. It is combined experience of various countries that allow ICN to offer substantial support to the newly formed antimonopoly authorities.

Supporting young competition authorities and approximating approaches to competition development in different countries - is one of the main ICN objectives which is also one of the principal themes of the opening Conference, emphasized Mrs Scott.

Among other items on the Conference agenda, Sheridan Scott underlined studying practices of abusing dominant position and cartel control.
