The program of the new generation Regional Jet AN-148 is accomplished by ANTONOV ASTV in a wide international cooperation, covering leading companies from 13 countries including France. In particular, a well-known French company CROUZET AUTOMATISMES has joined the program in 2005 as a partner supplying a variety of airborne equipment for the AN-148 serial production. This company has had a presence in High Performance Aerospace components for more than 30 years and has taken a leading position in the following lines of aeronautical industry:
Electrical Protection (circuit breakers & Arc Fault Detection Circuit Breakers);
Cockpit Equipment (Control Wheels, Grips & buttons);
Detection (Limit switches, proximity switches and sensors).

Today CROUZET’s components are widely used in a number of programs on design and serial production of commercial aircraft in the world. CROUZET High Performance components are manufactured at the facility in France, fully qualified to EN9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the EASA.

Especially for the AN-148 CROUZET has offered its know-how and customizing capability in the field of flight controls, detection and electrical wiring system (EWIS) protection. According to bilateral agreements the AN-148 is equipped with Pilot and Co-Pilot Control Wheels, proximity switches for the landing gear and flight control system, traditional and newest Arc Fault Circuit Breakers produced by CROUZET.

All the abovementioned components are created, customized and certified in the recent time and meet all the newest and perspective international requirements. Application of these components onboard the AN-148 allows to characterize it as one of the most technologically advanced and safe contemporary commercial jets. In particular, the AN-148 is the first commercial airliner created as a more electric aircraft with Power by Wire Primary flight control actuators, providing optimized energy consumption, improved environmental safety by reduction of the hydraulic fluid volume, significant reduction of high pressure hydraulic manifolds and increased overall safety.

In the forthcoming International Paris Air Show Le Bourget 2007 ANTONOV will present the AN-148 together with international partners in the program. One of such partners in organizing the presentation of the new airliner to the world aviation society will be CROUZET. In course of the Air Show the “ANTONOV Day” will be held under the aegis of GIFAS with participation of CROUZET.
