OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2007. Starting from May 2007 outstanding and already well-known in our country off-road vehicle Chevrolet Captiva will be assembled in Ukraine, reported the press-centre of  ZAZ.

SKD assembly of the first in Europe off-road vehicle by Chevrolet, which official distributor in Ukraine is "UkrAvtoZAZ-Service", will be performed at IZZA ("Illichevsk Plant of Automobile Units"), structural subdivision of "Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant", a part of "UkrAVTO" Corporation.

Start of assembly has marked new Chevrolet Captiva prices that today start from 156, 500UAH. At that price the customer gets an all-wheel drive five-seat vehicle with the expressive interior and an informative easy to use instrumental panel. For interior design we use fabric and materials of high quality only. A car of any configuration is equipped with frontal air bags for the driver and the co-driver as well as curtain air bags.

The active safety system deserves special attention. In Chevrolet Captiva it is presented as intellectual interaction of the automatic all-wheel drive and ABS, TCS, ESP and DCS. Also for the first time in the European market Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with ARP system, which is one of ESP constituents and serves to minimize probability of car turn over.

The engine range is presented by gasoline engines having a displacement 2,4 to 3,0 liter. In the base package of options Chevrolet Captiva has an engine with a displacement 2,4 l and 133 hp, and manual gear box. The luxury package of options provides an engine with a displacement of 3,2 l and power of 225 hp. This engine is remarkable by Variable Valve Timing, which guarantees improved dynamic behavior of the vehicle.

Chevrolet Captiva of Ukrainian assembly in already available in "UkrAvtoZAZ-Service" dealer network, which is the biggest in Ukraine and is represented in all regional centers of Ukraine.
