OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2007. Results of contest-inspection on preventive measures against industrial injuries and on safe conduct in the first quarter of current year are totaled in subdivisions of “Sverdlovenergo” Public Company. It should be said that 2007 is declared to be year of safety arrangement and precautions in “Sverdlovenergo” Public Company as well as in all companies included in the holding company “Unified Energy System of Russia”.

Under this contest more than 150 events on new safe technologies, equipment and protective equipment were held. 725 procedures were carried out in accordance with the results of safety engineering days. 795 unscheduled check-ups were made in structural subdivisions. It was checked whether there are working instructions on the working place as well as labor safety regulations, protective equipment, tools and appliances, manufacturing plans.

729 workers were taught how to administer first aid in case of industrial accidents. They practiced on special manikin. Besides there were organized discussions with personnel, traumatism survey in electrical energy industry and show of educational movies.

All the procedures which were carried out during the period of check-ups showed that there was no serious trouble in maintenance.

After looking over all information which was presented by check commissions and summing up the results of the contest-inspection, commission decided to give first place with payment of a bonus to the staff of Serovsk power networks. The second place was awarded to East power networks and they also received a bonus, the third place – Nizhnetagilsk power networks. Commission also marked good work of staff from Asset management directorate and Educational center.
